There are a lot of foods you can grill ad they are all just as delicious, so here is a small list of what you can enjoy when going out for a barbecue with your friends or with your family and when you are thinking of cooking something special for your family.

A very good choice would be grilling vegetables. You can grill peppers, tomatoes, eggplants, all these vegetables having to be prepared at high temperatures. Peppers are incredible if you grill them. One of the most spectacular grilled recipes is mutton, which you can marinate with various Mediterranean spices, such as garlic, rosemary, olive oil and some more. You can also spice it up with oriental spices, such as green or white pepper. This kind of meat is perfect for grilling, being cooked a lot easier than other kinds of red meat. You can also grill chicken, but you should marinate it a little before you put it on the grill. Deer is a sort of meat which only needs to stay on the grill for a short period of time because otherwise, it becomes very hard to eat.

Grilled foods are the best to go for during the summer. You can go for these foods when the weather is hot, when you are on holiday or on the beach and you can enjoy them together with your family and friends on different more or less special occasions. In fact, you can’t go somewhere in the summer if you don’t make a barbecue, this ensuring the success of a nice day or night out.

It is perfectly natural that some food which smells great makes people even hungrier, but you have to choose the flavours and the way you cook the food very carefully because your health also counts in this equation. Here are a few general pieces of advice regarding the way you should approach grilled food.

You should only cook your food thirty minutes after you have lit up the charcoal. This is the time it takes for the combustion gas to evaporate. Also, the meat should have the same temperature as the one in a room before you put it on the grill and after grilling it, you shouldn’t put it in the same bowl in which it used to be before you grilled it.

Certain kinds of meat should go on the grill in certain moments. For instance, if you intend to learn how to grill chicken or pork, you should put the meat on the grill when the charcoal is at its strongest. If the charcoal is too strong, you should spread it. Also, the grill should be fixed and very stable and you shouldn’t go for any chemical methods in order to light the fire. The charcoal needs to be covered by a white layer of ash. Wood is enough for you to make the fire because there are a lot of other materials which are not healthy for you. These substances also appear when the fat and juice of the meat drip into the charcoal and burn.

Cook Unbelievable Grilled Foods

Many people are terrified by the calories they eat when they go out for a barbecue, but the truth is that no on can refuse some very good food and grilled foods are some of the best you can cook and eat. Here are some of the things which can make a grilled meal even more delicious.

First of all, you should always put aside a bottle of wine and serve it with the meat or the vegetables you grill on a special occasion. All grilled foods have a special flavour due to the smoke they are cooked in and these flavours go extremely well with some bottles of moderate wine. However, specialists don’t recommend you to add Cabernet Sauvignon to such meals because they don’t go very well together.  You can have some Pinot Noir, for instance, this being the kind of soft wine which can add some style to your meal. Wine is a very good option regardless of whether you are having red meat, fish or chicken.  Also, you can go for a Sauvignon Blanc or an extravagant Chardonnay.

Then, you have some great sauces at you disposal, these also being the perfect additional elements of grilled foods. For instance, you can have some green salsa. In order to get this sauce, you only need some parsley, some garlic, some sardines, a spoon of mustard, two spoons of lemon juice, a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper. There is another very delicious sauce which you can prepare with egg, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Last but not least, you can serve your meals with some very good apricot Chutney sauce. In order to make this sauce, you need half a kilo of apricots which you cut into little pieces, you boil and to which you add a bit of white wine. Then, you add some onion and boil the entire composition after you have added some brown sugar, vinegar, curry powder, spices and a few figs.

Given the fact that grilled foods are quite extravagant and simple at the same time, you should add a bit of extra touch to them and you will have one of the best meals you’ve ever had.
